Group Physical Practice
Strength for life. Rooted in play.
A weekly practice for building a stronger, more capable, and adaptable body.
These small-group sessions combine strength training, mobility, movement exploration and play. You’ll learn how to lift, carry, crawl, balance, coordinate and move with greater confidence—not simply to become better at exercise, but to stay able for the things that make life enjoyable.
No previous training experience is required. You don’t need to be particularly fit, flexible or coordinated before you begin. Curiosity is enough.
More Than an Exercise Class
Most exercise classes ask everyone to follow the same movements at the same pace.
This is different.
Each session is coached, adaptable, and shaped around the people in the room. We practise foundational strength, explore different ways of moving, and occasionally introduce games or challenges that make physical effort more engaging.
You’ll work alongside other people, but you won’t be expected to keep up with them. The emphasis is on attention, gradual progress and developing a better relationship with your own body.
What We Practise
The content changes from week to week, but may include:
Foundational strength training
Mobility and joint preparation
Lifting, carrying, crawling and locomotion
Balance, coordination and physical problem-solving
Partner exercises and group games
Breathing, recovery and moments of stillness
The aim is not to master a fixed collection of exercises. It is to develop a body that can respond well to the changing demands of life.
Who Is It For?
These sessions are open to all levels.
They may particularly suit you if you:
Want to become stronger without joining a conventional gym
Feel stiff, deconditioned or uncertain about returning to exercise
Already train but want to broaden your movement capacity
Value good coaching and individual attention
Want physical practice to feel social, interesting and enjoyable
Would simply like to feel more at home in your body
With no more than ten people in each class, there is room for individual guidance and adaptation.
